Course Description
This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely enter a confined space. Leaners will develop the skills to plan entry to a confined space, apply risk controls, develop the skills to plan and prepare for working in confined space, work in confined space, exit confined space & clean up. Successful completion of the course provides the necessary competency to safely enter and work in confined spaces.
Mode of Delivery
Delivery of this course will be trainer led and delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting combined with skills practice and assessment at client’s premises.
Assessment
The assessment requires the learner to complete a written knowledge assessment and demonstrate their applied knowledge and skills during a practical assessment on safely entering a confined space.
National recognition
On successfully completing the training and assessment you will be issued a Statement of Attainment issuing you the unit of competency: RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in Confined Spaces.
Dress and Equipment
Learners should attend the course in comfortable appropriate work clothing with steel capped boots. The course will be delivered on the site of the student’s workplace.
Entry Requirements
Trainsafe require learners to present photo Identification prior to course commencement, be dressed in their normal work clothing wearing steel capped boots and be alert and physically capable of undertaking operations.
